Our philosophy is that through the development of a heightened awareness of sensation and movement (mindfulness), we can become more efficient during our physical activities, and decrease the strain on our bodies, thereby preventing injuries, and aiding us in accomplishing our mission. The goal of exercise is to reduce and relieve stress rather than increase it. We promote body efficiency rather than body force.
In this workshop, you will:
*establish optimal alignment and support with a core foundation
*gain a working knowledge of the natural mechanics of gait
*walk / run efficiently
*increase distance / speed
*prevent injuries (achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, patello-femoral syndrome, iliotbial band syndrome, trochanteric bursitis)
*course and exercise summary provided
